Peace of Mind & Body will be hosting a 200-hour yoga instructor training course, covering key aspects of teaching Hatha yoga including asanas (poses), anatomy, teaching methodology, and philosophy.
This course is for you if you are curious about yoga history and philosophy, want to deepen your understanding of yoga practice, if you want to develop a home practice, or if you are interested in teaching yoga. The curriculum will be taught both immersively and experientially as well as classroom style with discourse and Q&A sessions.
This course will give you the tools needed to become competent and confident in teaching a basic yoga class, focusing on both the practical and theoretical aspects of yoga. Students who complete the course will graduate thoroughly prepared to teach yoga in a variety of settings
The Lead Trainer for the program is Holly Halvorson (E-RYT 200 and RYT 500). Holly has over 10 years of teaching experience and is a Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at both the 200 hour and 500 hour training levels. She has logged over 4000 hours of teaching since graduating from the Life of a Yogi Teacher Training Program at the Dharma Yoga Center in New York City. She has served as a mentor and faculty member for the VETOGA Teacher Training Program for which she has also developed and recorded a 30 hour Yoga Anatomy course. She has taught in the Northern VA area for over 10 years.
